The Builder & The Drifter

Proverbs 20:4

Sluggards do not plow in season; so at harvest time they look but find nothing.”

They move without urgency.

As if their time is endless.

No fire. No edge. No passion. No plan.

Their eyes don’t light up when asked about their future.

They seem to reject everything with purpose.

The Drifters.

Coasters in life.

People with no mindmap, no curiosity, no questions about this simulation around us.

They simply play their role, never elevating, content with scraps.

They don’t dream. They don’t build. They just are.

A body, a mind, a soul wasting away.

Wasting precious time year after year.

Why, though?

Why no passion?

Why no creativity?

Are they just shells, drifting through life?

I don’t know. I have no answer.

But we all know at least one.

Someone with no fire.

Someone dull.

Their very presence drains you.

A bore.

You almost want to shake them awake.

But we have no room for drifters in our lives.

We must create.

Live with purpose.

Have edge. Move with urgency.

Carry fire in our eyes and hearts.

Which leads us to the Builder.

The one who can’t stop moving.

The one whose brain never shuts up unless asleep.

The one who must elevate, who puts himself in a position his future self will thank him for.

Someone worthy.

Not surface level.

A beast.

A hustler.

Someone who will stop at nothing to become.

The Builder in all of us.

Is to be fed.

Entertained.

Allowed to grow.

Live as the Builder.

And to hell with the Drifter.
