Act First, Think Last

Do you hear it? That little voice in the back of your head.

The one whispering:

“That’s too risky.”

“What if you fail?”

“Don’t go beyond your limits.”

It’s the voice that convinces us to stay small,

to never grow into what we’re meant to be.

That voice has a name,

Doubt.

And right beside it stands its first cousin.

Anxiety.

Together, they make us question everything,

our abilities,

our beliefs,

even who we allow to witness our greatness.

They force us to hide.

They silence voices that could carry more weight than anything ever spoken.

They live rent-free in our heads,

reminding us of every possible “what if?”

What if I mess up?

What if this all falls apart?

What if I’m not enough?

But lately…

I’ve been outrunning them.

I’ve been moving faster than my doubts can keep up.

Making choices before fear has a chance to speak.

Acting first.

Thinking later.

Building before I can count all the cons.

And in that space,

that space of doing instead of overthinking,

I thrive.

Hammering away.

Creating.

Imagining something out of nothing.

This is where freedom lives.

Not in the box that Doubt tries to shove us in.

Because that box?

It’s an illusion.

It’s not real.

And pardon my French.

But it’s bullshit.

And once you see that,

you’ll know what I’ve come to know:

Doubt and Anxiety only have the power you hand them.

Stop handing it over.
